Law Firm Web Design

Custom Web Design for Law Firms

Attorney website design built around one job: turning someone with a legal problem into someone who calls your firm. Hand-coded, fast, security-hardened, and structured so each practice area can actually rank. No templates. No vendor lock-in. You own every file.

$2,500–$4,500 · ~6 weeks · You own the code, the content, and the domain

What You Actually Get

Three Business Outcomes. Not A List Of Features.

Nobody buys a website. Firms buy credibility, cases, and time back.

Credibility In Ten Seconds

Prospects compare three or four firms before calling one. A site that looks considered and loads instantly says your practice is run the same way. A dated template says the opposite before a word is read.

Nothing To Manage

No plugin updates, no theme conflicts, no 2am “the site is down.” A hand-coded static-first site has almost nothing to break, and maintenance is our job, not your paralegal’s.

The Problem

Why Most Attorney Websites Underperform

Not because they’re ugly. Because of four structural decisions made before anyone picked a colour.

Every Firm Uses The Same Template

The stock photo of the courthouse steps. The scales of justice. The same three-column layout your competitor down the street bought from the same vendor. Prospects can’t tell you apart — so they choose on price or proximity instead.

Practice Areas Are A List, Not Pages

Eight specialties on one page means you can rank for roughly none of them. This is the single most common and most expensive structural mistake on law firm sites, and it’s invisible until you look at where your traffic isn’t coming from.

You Don’t Own It

Vendor-hosted legal platforms keep the code, and sometimes the domain. Stop paying and the site vanishes — along with the rankings you spent years earning. You were renting, and the rent goes up.

The Phone Number Is The Only CTA

People researching a lawyer at 11pm are not ready to call. Without a low-friction way to start — a short intake form, a case question, a callback request — you lose everyone who isn’t ready to talk to a human immediately.

Already on a vendor platform and weighing the switch? The law firm hub covers contract exit, content migration, and domain ownership in detail.

The Structural Fix

Every Practice Area Gets Its Own Page

This is the decision that determines whether the site ever earns its cost back.

A page can be the best answer to one question. Someone searching “estate planning attorney” and someone searching “personal injury lawyer” need different pages — and a combined list page loses to whoever wrote a real page about the one thing.

What Each Page Contains

What the process looks like, what it typically costs, how long it takes, what makes your firm the right choice for that specific problem, and a clear next step. Substantive enough to be genuinely useful — which is also what makes it rank.

How They Work Together

Cross-linked so authority flows between them, with the hub page routing prospects to the right one. Six real practice-area pages means six entry points into the firm instead of one.

Additional practice-area pages beyond the initial build are $150–$200 each — see pricing. Ranking them is ongoing work: that’s law firm SEO.

Security

Your Intake Form Carries Privileged Facts

Built by a CISSP-certified engineer with a Master’s in cybersecurity. Stated plainly, without the scare tactics.

Where The Risk Actually Is

Someone describing their legal problem in a contact form before any engagement letter exists. That message deserves the same care as anything else in the file — encrypted in transit, validated server-side, never sitting in a URL or an analytics event.

What We Build In

HTTPS with HSTS, a strict Content Security Policy, hardened headers, server-side validation, rate limiting on public forms, and no exposed admin surface. Contact submissions route straight to you rather than pooling on the server.

What We Won’t Claim

That security improves your rankings. It doesn’t, beyond HTTPS being a minor signal. It matters because a breach touching client intake is a professional-responsibility problem — not a marketing one.

Performance & Search

Fast Sites Convert. Slow Sites Leak Cases.

Every build ships on the same technical foundation.

Speed You Can Verify

Hand-coded markup, no page-builder bloat, images in modern formats, compressed delivery. Our own site loads in about 1.5 seconds on mobile — you can check that yourself with any speed tool right now. We hold client builds to the same standard rather than asking you to take it on faith.

The SEO Foundation, Built In

Clean semantic HTML, one H1 per page, logical heading hierarchy, schema markup, canonical tags, an accurate sitemap, and descriptive URLs. This is the groundwork every build ships with — not an upsell. Ongoing ranking work is law firm SEO.

How We Report Results

Denis Law Group was a new practice launch, so there is no “before” traffic to compare against — and we won’t invent one. For firms replacing an existing site we capture speed, indexed pages, rankings and lead volume before launch, then re-measure at 30 and 90 days.

Law Firm Website Design Questions

How much does a law firm website cost?

$2,500–$4,500 depending on how many practice-area pages you need. Extra practice-area pages are $150–$200 each. Hosting is $150/year. No monthly licence fee — you own it.

Do I own my website?

Completely. Source code, content, domain, hosting. If you leave, you take every file and the site keeps working. That’s the clearest difference between this and a vendor platform.

How long does it take?

About six weeks: discovery, structure, design, content, review, launch. Firms with many practice areas or unwritten content take longer. You always know which stage you’re in.

Can you move me off FindLaw or another vendor?

Yes. We rebuild, migrate the content you own, and redirect so rankings and links carry over. Check your contract and who holds the domain registration first — that’s where switches get stuck.

Do you write the content?

We write the structure, framework and CTAs, and draft practice-area copy for your review. Substantive legal descriptions should be reviewed by the attorney whose name is on them — for accuracy and for bar compliance.

What about bar advertising rules?

They vary by state and typically cover disclaimers, results claims, and testimonial use. We build so required disclaimers are easy to place and maintain. Confirming your state’s requirements is your call, not ours — we’re not giving legal advice.
